Campovida

Join the party at Campovida this Hopland Passport! The team will be pouring our delicious Chardonnay, Rosé di Grenache, Zinfandel, and our new release 2013 Petite Sirah! Cesar Toxqui Cellars

Cesar Toxqui Cellars will be serving “fall theme”. As a starter we will be serving our popular fruit infused cheeses which will pair nicely with our new released Sauvignon Blanc. For our hearty reds we will be serving authentic carne asada and BBQ chicken with fresh corn and black bean salad. Like a good wine with a good finish, we will finish it off with our favorite ganache cake.

We will be serving our new release 2014 Sauvignon Blanc with fruit infused cheeses. We will be serving our Award winning 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon and 2011 Immigrant Zinfandel, both hearty red wines will go well with our authentic carne asada and BBQ chicken. For dessert wine our ever loved Port like dessert wine “Dulce Paloma” will be paired well with our Ganache cake.

Graziano Family of Wines

From Arneis to Zinfandel, Graziano Family of Wines will be offering wines from our four distinct labels, with a focus on Italian varietals. Many of the wines will be discounted for Passport weekend. Trudi will be making her olive tapenade, hummus, and a crab dip, there will be Tri-Tip in the crockpot, some wonderful local and imported aged cheeses. New Release

2013 Graziano Reserve Zinfandel – 71% from the over 50 year old Kazmet Vineyard and 29% from the Bertozzi vineyard in Redwood Valley. Over 30 months of barrel aging softens and adds complexity to the aromas and flavors of blackberry, spice, and pepper.

Jaxon Keys Winery & Distillery

The girls of Jaxon Keys are taking you back to the Age of Aquarius-1969.  We missed Woodstock the first time around and everyone needs more Peace, Wine and Rock n’ Roll! We’re pulling out our bell bottoms and throwing up the peace sign with a little help from our friends. We will serve mushroom bruschetta and chocolate brownies to please your sweet tooth. To honor the diversity of Woodstock, a melding of cultures and creativity, we are releasing a fall favorite just in time for Hopland Passport- our Assemblage blend. Assemblage has a spice-driven nose and a bright palate with bursts of plum, dried cherry and traces of vanilla. We feel both Jimi Hendrix and Janis Joplin would approve of this interesting Estate blend.

Jeriko Estate

Grilling will be happing at Jeriko Estate for the October Passport. Stuffed mushrooms, sausages, cheeses and condiments will be served to complement Jeriko’s newly released 2015 Upper Russian River Pinot Noir Anima Mundi Pinot Noir and Syrah, along with the classics like Sangiovese. Don’t miss out on the barrel sampling music and special wine prices that are discounted for passport weekend only.

We will be debuting our 2014 Pinot Noir! The drought in California has some unexpected benefits on this vintage, concentrating and intensifying the flavors. Notes of dark, Bing cherry run rampant making this reminiscent of a dark, moody Pinot Noir.

2013 Family Reserve Old Vine Zinfandel

75 year old vines from the B-X Ranch located in Talmage. This Zin exhibits aromas of roasted plum highlighted with fresh raspberry and blackberry with hints of white pepper. The finish has warm spices and succulent sweet fruit. This is a natural for robust food pairings such as heavy stews, rich pastas, red meats and game, strong cheeses, or heavy pizzas.

2014 Sangiovese, Mendocino County, Hidden Hawk Ranch – Juicy fruit on the nose. Lush, mouthwatering soft raspberry and a hint of spice components on the palette. Vanilla on the back end with a nice lingering finish.

Since this is being written while harvest is just starting to kick into hi gear … we have no idea really what it will be … however it will be good … real good … possibly even phenomenally epic to the point where you wander aimlessly into the Vineyard and slip into a subtle “Food Induced Coma”.

SIP Mendocino

Stop by for a taste of Italy! Bello Cibo will be dishing up authentic Italian food and gourmet cupcakes. Perfect hardy fare to wrap up harvest and kick off the fall season! SIP will be Featuring Testa Vineyards 2012 Charbono, 2014 Petite Sirah and 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon. Testa Vineyards was established in 1912 by the currents owner/winemakers Great Grandparents who migrated form Italy. This small family owned winery produces handcrafted, farm to table wines made by 4th and 5th generation winemakers. Who are keeping traditions alive by producing wines the same way as their ancestors before them. Testa Ranch is home several different varietals such as Carignane, Petite Sirah, Zinfandel, Barbera, Grenache and Charbono.

Terra Sávia

For culinary offerings this year we will be pairing our wines with a fusion of Asian and Middle Eastern foods which pair well with our Chardonnay, Bordeaux reds and Sparkling wines. While technically not a new release our 2014 Reserve Chardonnay will be the featured wine for this year’s Passport and will be on sale for the weekend. It’s aged 3 months in both new and re-coopered French oak barrels and displays a fine balance of tropical fruit with oaky butterscotch notes. Made with 100% estate organic grapes.
